The AIRSC Academy of Safety and Disaster Management (AASDM) is the specialised academic, professional-development, training and research institution of the All India Rail Safety Council (AIRSC). Diploma in Rail Safety Management
The Diploma in Rail Safety Management is designed for learners seeking foundational and specialised knowledge of railway operations, track safety, passenger safety, accident prevention, hazard identification, risk assessment, emergency preparedness and operational excellence.

AASDM’s proposed postgraduate diploma portfolio includes the PG Diploma in Rail Safety Management, PG Diploma in Rail Marketing and Branding, PG Diploma in Industrial Safety Management and PG Diploma in Disaster Management.

The Certificate in Fire and Safety Management covers fire prevention, fire-protection systems, workplace hazards, emergency procedures, occupational-safety practices and institutional safety responsibilities.
Internationally Benchmarked Professional Courses
AASDM also seeks to offer specialised short-term and executive-development courses based on internationally recognised safety, reliability and quality-management frameworks.
Training in Functional Safety under IEC 61508 introduces participants to safety-lifecycle principles applicable to electrical, electronic and programmable electronic safety-related systems. It supports an understanding of hazard analysis, safety-integrity requirements, lifecycle governance, verification and validation.
Professional training relating to the EN 5012x railway standards addresses principles connected with reliability, availability, maintainability and safety—commonly known as RAMS—along with system assurance, railway software, safety cases and lifecycle-based safety management.
The IRIS/ISO 22163 Rail Quality Management programme is intended to strengthen awareness of quality-management practices within the international railway industry, including process performance, supply-chain excellence, risk-based thinking, product quality and continual improvement.
