The All India Rail Safety Council (AIRSC) is a multidisciplinary professional organisation dedicated to advancing the cause of safety, security, resilience and responsible development across India’s railway, metro rail and wider transportation sectors. AIRSC serves as a collaborative platform for promoting safety education, professional competency, research, technological innovation, disaster preparedness, public awareness and institutional cooperation. Through its programmes and specialised initiatives, the Council seeks to contribute meaningfully to the creation of railway systems that are safer, smarter, more reliable, sustainable, inclusive and prepared for the mobility challenges of the future.

Our Purpose
The fundamental purpose of AIRSC is to strengthen the culture of prevention, preparedness and continuous improvement throughout the railway and metro ecosystem. The Council works to expand access to safety knowledge, encourage professional dialogue, develop industry-relevant capabilities and support initiatives that can reduce risks and protect lives, assets, infrastructure and the environment.
