The important factors supporting this proposal as follows.

2. AIRSC is planning to provide Medical Treatment
for Travelling Passengers fallen sick

To attend Railway accident & other untoward
incidences. On average about 360 such incidences/year is attended.
4. To provide emergency
medical treatment to traveling sick passengers.
5. Pre employment
Medical examination to allow only fit & suitable candidates to join the service.
On average –
50000 candidates are examined/year
6. PME (Periodical Medical
Examination) of serving employees to allow a fit person to continue in
those jobs which are related to the safe running of the train.
7. On average – 1,20,000 employees
are examined per year.
8. Medical Boards & other medical
certification of serving employees.
9. Control on loss of Mondays on account of sickness (both normal & HOD).
10. It is kept under control by medical
officers. At the present loss of man days on
Sickness is only 2%.
The endeavor of AIRSC is
to make available at Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendras all the
commonly used generic drugs covering all the therapeutic groups. In the coming
years, PMBJP scheme shall provide the complete spectrum of Healthcare products
and services, starting from making available all the generic drugs covering all
the therapeutic groups. Product basket to contain 800 Drugs and 154 Surgical
items by March 2019 and to include stents and replacements.
